When the rungs in the ladder you climb have run out then they will see you for what you really are. And when you realize that you have to come down to solid ground, you will lose your grip, and you will slip, and crash, and burn in a blaze ignited by the city that you claim, who set fire to its dormant powder keg built on privilege and compliance and a lack of direction. We know this all too well. And when the smoke clears, it will be as if you never existed.
